Congratulations to the 4 filmmakers on their films 👏🏽.” He tagged the filmmakers Amrita Bagchi, Chanakya Vyas, Rohin Raveendran Nair, and Shalini Vijayaumar, along with producer Mo Twine.

The post also highlights renowned directors Lijo Jose Pellisery and Vetri Maaran’s involvement with the project, which was shot entirely on iPhone 16 Pro Max, as indicated by the hashtag #shotoniPhone.

The MAMI Select Filmed On iPhone initiative represents an interesting development in democratizing filmmaking by utilizing smartphone technology. The image shared by Bachchan shows what appears to be promotional material for the films, emphasizing the accessibility of professional-quality filmmaking tools through modern smartphone technology.

This initiative aligns with a growing trend in the film industry where established film festivals are embracing mobile filmmaking as a legitimate medium for storytelling. By highlighting these works, the Mumbai Film Festival is providing a platform for emerging filmmakers to showcase their talent without the need for expensive traditional film equipment.

The actor has been quite active professionally in recent months. Bachchan’s latest film “Be Happy,” directed by Remo D’Souza, has found success on Prime Video, recently becoming the number one film on the streaming platform according to his social media. In the film, he stars alongside Nora Fatehi, showcasing his continuing versatility as a performer.

Bachchan has earned critical acclaim for his performances in recent years through films like ‘Ludo’, ‘Dasvi’, ‘Ghoomer’, ‘I Want to Talk’, and ‘Be Happy’, establishing himself as an actor known for nuanced performances.

Beyond cinema, Bachchan has been expanding his business portfolio. He recently celebrated his Jaipur Pink Cubs team winning the first Yuva Championship, adding to his sports venture success with the Jaipur Pink Panthers kabaddi team. He has also been involved with the European T20 Premier League (ETPL) cricket tournament in Dublin, Ireland, demonstrating his passion for sports entrepreneurship.

Beyond acting, Bachchan has established himself as a sports entrepreneur. He owns the Pro Kabaddi League team Jaipur Pink Panthers, which has won championships, and has invested in football clubs and cricket leagues, showing his business acumen extends beyond the film industry.

His support for initiatives like MAMI’s iPhone filmmaking project demonstrates his commitment to nurturing new talent and embracing technological innovations in cinema.

As Bachchan continues to balance his acting career with business ventures and advocacy for emerging filmmakers, he exemplifies the modern multi-faceted Indian celebrity who leverages their platform for both creative and entrepreneurial pursuits.
