Ajay Devgn has announced the release of a new romantic song titled ‘Tumhe Dillagi’ from his upcoming film Raid 2. The actor took to Instagram to share the news with his fans, revealing that the audio track is now available for listening.
“Dil ki baat ek nayi dhun ke saath! 🎶♥️,” Ajay captioned his post, adding that the song’s link is available in his Instagram bio. The post also confirmed that Raid 2 will be hitting cinemas on May 1, 2025.
The Instagram image shows what appears to be a romantic still from the film, featuring Ajay Devgn in a formal look alongside actress Vaani Kapoor. The soft-focus image captures an intimate moment between the two actors, suggesting that ‘Tumhe Dillagi’ will be a romantic track in the otherwise intense film about tax raids.
The song features the musical talents of Rochak Kohli and vocals by Nusrat and Jubin Nautiyal, with lyrics by Manoj Muntashir and Purnam Allahabadi, as tagged in Devgn’s post.
RAID 2: THE SEQUEL JOURNEY
Raid 2 comes as a follow-up to the 2018 hit film Raid, which was based on real-life income tax raids conducted by Indian Revenue Service officers. The sequel appears to be continuing the story of an honest tax officer taking on powerful corrupt individuals.
Just days before this song release, Ajay had shared the official trailer for Raid 2 with the caption: “Ek taraf satta, dusri taraf sach – Yeh RAID ab aur badi ho chuki hai. 💵💥” (On one side is power, on the other is truth – This RAID has become even bigger).
The film features an ensemble cast including Riteish Deshmukh, Vaani Kapoor, Saurabh Shukla, Supriya Pathak, and Amit Sial. It is directed by Rajkumar Gupta, who also helmed the first installment.
The promotional campaign for Raid 2 has been in full swing, with multiple teasers and now song releases building anticipation. Earlier posts from Ajay’s Instagram showed him teasing the trailer with captions like “Ek honest tax officer ke aane ki aahat sunn rahe ho?” (Can you hear the footsteps of an honest tax officer coming?) and “Chhupaya ho ya churaya ho, iss RAID mein hoga black money ke pai-pai ka hisab” (Whether hidden or stolen, every penny of black money will be accounted for in this RAID).
MUSICAL MOMENTUM FOR THE FILM
The release of ‘Tumhe Dillagi’ follows another recent song release from the film titled ‘Kamle’. Ajay had posted about this track just days earlier with the caption: “Hawaon mein ghulenge ishq ke rang with #Kamle! 🫶” (The colors of love will dissolve in the air with #Kamle).
Another song from the film titled ‘Nasha’ featuring Tamannaah Bhatia was also released recently, showcasing the film’s diverse musical offerings.
