Producer Ekta Kapoor has announced her latest venture, ‘Kull – The Legacy of the Raisingghs,’ a new Hotstar Specials series that will begin streaming exclusively on JioHotstar from May 2. The announcement came through JioHotstar, teasing fans with what appears to be an intense family drama centered around power and inheritance.
THE BATTLE FOR POWER AND WEALTH
The promotional material for the series poses an intriguing question: “Paise aur power ki iss ladai mein kaunse Raisinggh vaaris ki hogi jeet?” (In this battle of money and power, which Raisinggh heir will emerge victorious?). This tagline suggests that the narrative will focus on a succession battle within the Raisinggh family, with inheritance and control at stake.
The Instagram post features what appears to be a promotional poster for the series, setting the tone for a high-stakes family drama. The image showcases what seems to be key characters from the show, hinting at the power dynamics that will drive the storyline.
STAR-STUDDED CAST
The series boasts an impressive ensemble cast. According to the Instagram post, the show features Nimrat Kaur, Iridhi Dogra, Amol Parashar, Megaura Varora, Rahul Vohra, Suhaas Ahuja, Rohhit Tiwari, Chankit Siwa, Arslan Goni, and Ravi Kadugal, among others.
Nimrat Kaur, known for her performances in ‘The Lunchbox’ and ‘Airlift,’ will be taking on a significant role in the series. Amol Parashar, recognized for his work in TVF’s ‘Tripling’ and other digital content, is also part of the main cast.
The series is being produced under Ekta Kapoor’s banner, with involvement from 9pm Films. The creative team includes directors Sahir Raza and Vivian Sahir, along with writers Akansha Trehan and Aparna Ram.
EKTA KAPOOR’S GROWING DIGITAL FOOTPRINT

According to her recent Instagram activity, she discussed her approach to content creation, which involves calculated risks while ensuring job preservation within the industry.
Kapoor, who was recently recognized alongside other inspiring women at Express AWE 2025, has been acknowledged for her contributions to the entertainment industry. The producer expressed her gratitude for this recognition, stating she was “Truly honoured to be recognised alongside such inspiring women” and thanked the jury members Deepak Parekh, Zia Mody, Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Meher Pudumjee, and Sachin Bansal.

While promoting ‘Kull,’ Kapoor has also been busy with other productions. She recently announced a new season of the popular series ‘Bade Achhe Lagte Hai’ featuring Harshad Chopda and Shivangi Joshi, which will air on Sony Entertainment Television and Sony LIV.
The veteran producer, who has been in the industry for over two decades, continues to blend traditional storytelling with contemporary themes. Her production house has been responsible for some of the most-watched television shows and digital content in India.
Kapoor’s latest project, ‘Kull – The Legacy of the Raisingghs,’ appears to continue her tradition of creating content that combines family dynamics with contemporary social issues, adapted for today’s streaming audience.
