From Nomination To Victory
This win comes after Kohli had previously announced his film’s nomination at the festival. In early April, he had shared his excitement about ‘Gahvara’ being selected for the Ahmedabad International Film Festival. At that time, he posted: “From a small idea to a big festival! Gahvara has been nominated at the Ahmedabad International Film Festival, and I, Himansh Kohli, along with my entire cast, crew, and team Happy Cow Films, couldn’t be happier.”
The actor dedicated his win to everyone who believed in the project, writing in his caption: “Thank you for all the love and warmth. Honoured to receive Best Actor at the Ahmedabad International Film Festival! This one’s for every soul who believed in Gahvara — we did it!”
The Journey Of ‘Gahvara’
‘Gahvara’, which appears to be a short film produced by Happy Cow Films, has clearly made an impact at the film festival circuit. While specific details about the film’s plot are not widely available, the project seems to hold special significance for Kohli, as evident from his emotional acceptance message.
The hashtags used in his post, including #happycowfilm and #Gahvara, indicate his pride in the project and its recognition at AIFF 2025. The festival, which showcases international and Indian cinema, has provided a platform for Kohli’s work to receive critical acclaim.
Recent Activities And Public Engagements
Prior to this achievement, Himansh has been quite active with various public engagements. Just days before his win, he attended the Times Food and Nightlife Awards, describing it as “a glam night” with “pure vibes, amazing food, and just the rejuvenation I needed.”
