The much-anticipated romantic track ‘Rang Laga’ from Sanjay Dutt’s upcoming film ‘The Bhootnii’ has been released today, promising viewers a unique blend of romance with supernatural elements.

Sanjay Dutt’s Instagram post features a captivating image of what appears to be a romantic moment between characters in the film. The poster captures the essence of the song’s theme—love with a paranormal twist.

Love Meets The Supernatural

According to the announcement, ‘Rang Laga’ aims to combine elements of traditional romance (‘pyaar, passion’) with supernatural overtones, as indicated by the ghost emoji in the caption.

The song comes from the film ‘The Bhootnii,’ slated for release on May 1, 2025. Initially scheduled for April 18, 2025, the release date was pushed back, as revealed in an earlier post, which playfully stated: “Insaan mohabbat wali date fix kar sakta hai, bhootnii ke aane ki nahi… woh kab aayegi, kaise aayegi, yeh sirf wahi jaanti hai!” (A human can fix a date for love, but not for when a ghost will arrive… when she’ll come, how she’ll come, only she knows!)

The song features a collaboration of notable artists in the Indian film industry. The post tags numerous contributors, including the film’s stars Sanjay Dutt, Mouni Roy, Sunny Singh, and Palak Tiwari, along with other cast members Aasif Khan, BeYouNick, and Sidhant Sachdev.

The music appears to have been produced under the JAM8 studio banner, with credits extending to various music professionals and lyricists, including Shabbir Ahmed. The film is backed by production houses Soham Rockstrent, Zee Studios, and Three Dimension Motion Pictures.

The Bhootnii Universe Expands

This song release follows closely on the heels of the film’s previously released track ‘Mahakaal Mahakaali,’ which showcased a more intense, divine-themed composition. That song was described as “fierce” and “fearless” in promotional materials, suggesting the film will offer varied musical experiences ranging from romantic to powerful.

The film’s trailer, released earlier, had teased fans with the tagline: “Machega taandav, hoga bawal! Mohabbat ke iss khaufnaak khel mein, Baba lagayenge sabki waat!” (There will be chaos and mayhem! In this terrifying game of love, Baba will teach everyone a lesson!)

‘The Bhootnii’ appears to be positioning itself as a horror comedy with romantic elements, a genre blend that has found success in Indian cinema in recent years.

The song is expected to showcase the chemistry between the lead characters while maintaining the supernatural undertones that form the core of the film’s premise.
