Bollywood veteran Suniel Shetty has shared a glimpse of his visit to Mangaluru, a coastal city in Karnataka that holds a special place in his heart. The actor posted a photo on Instagram with the simple yet heartfelt caption, “Mangluru ❤️.”
In the image shared on his official Instagram account, Shetty is seen sitting near what appears to be a coastal area of Mangaluru. Dressed in casual attire, the actor looks relaxed as he connects with his roots.
For those unfamiliar with Shetty’s background, he was born in Mulki, a panchayat town located in Mangalore, and remains deeply rooted in his heritage. Despite his decades-long career in Mumbai’s film industry, Shetty has frequently spoken about his deep connection to his hometown.
The actor, known for his fitness and disciplined lifestyle, even at 62, appears to be taking time to reconnect with his roots. While the purpose of his visit wasn’t explicitly mentioned in the post, the heart emoji alongside the city’s name suggests the emotional significance it holds for him.
This isn’t the first time Shetty has showcased his love for Mangaluru. In a previous Instagram post from earlier this year, the actor proudly promoted the coastal city as an emerging water sports destination. He had posted: “Riding the waves… in my very own Mangaluru – now a global paddle & surfing paradise!!! Proud to be associated with the #IndiaPaddleFest, welcoming world-class talent to my home turf. Clean beaches, perfect waves, and an unbeatable vibe—My Mangaluru is making waves!”
On the professional front, Suniel Shetty has remained active across various platforms. He recently attended the inauguration of Capexil’s Vibrant Buildcon 2025 at Yashobhoomi, where he addressed the importance of sustainable infrastructure development.
Shetty has also been promoting sustainable living practices. In a recent social media post, he shared his experience with growing organic vegetables at home, writing: “Feeding my homegrown greens with Griin organic boosters—because what you nurture, nurtures you back! Fresh, crisp, and full of life veggies – straight from my balcony to my plate.”
With a career spanning over three decades in Bollywood, Suniel Shetty has appeared in more than 100 films across multiple languages. He made his debut with Balwaan in 1992 and went on to become one of the prominent action heroes of the 1990s. Some of his notable films include Border, Hera Pheri, Dhadkan, and Main Hoon Na.
The actor’s visit to Mangaluru demonstrates how, despite his busy schedule and various commitments, he makes time to reconnect with his roots and the place that shaped his early years before his rise to stardom in Bollywood.
