Zee Music Company has announced the upcoming release of a new song titled Mahakaal-Mahakaali from the forthcoming horror film The Bhootnii. The news was shared on Instagram, accompanied by a dramatic still from the film featuring Sanjay Dutt and Mouni Roy. The caption sets an ominous tone: “The divine is not silent. It’s fierce, it’s fearless — and it’s coming. 🔥 #MahakaalMahakaali Song Out Tomorrow!”
The poster offers a chilling glimpse into the dark, supernatural world of the film. The song release marks another key promotional milestone for The Bhootnii, which has steadily built anticipation through teasers and announcements.
Originally slated for an April 18, 2025 release, The Bhootnii has now been pushed to May 1, 2025. In an earlier Instagram post, Sanjay Dutt shared the update with his signature humor: “Insaan mohabbat wali date fix kar sakta hai, bhootnii ke aane ki nahi… woh kab aayegi, kaise aayegi, yeh sirf wahi jaanti hai! 💀” He added playfully, “Laga tha 18th April ko aayegi lekin ab aa rahi hai 1st May ko, taiyaar rehna!”
The film boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Mouni Roy, Sunny Singh, Palak Tiwari, Aasif Khan, and Sidhaant Sachdev, alongside Dutt. It is backed by Deepak Mukut and Maanayata Dutt, among other producers.
The trailer, released in late March, offered audiences a first look at the eerie, atmospheric world of The Bhootnii. This film marks yet another bold addition to Sanjay Dutt’s diverse filmography, which continues to evolve. He was also recently announced as part of the cast for Baaghi 4, starring Tiger Shroff, set to release on September 5, 2025.
