Minissha Lamba recently shared heartwarming moments from her visit to The Phuket Elephant Sanctuary, where she spent quality time with family while interacting with rescued elephants in an ethical environment.
She took to Instagram to share her experience thanking her friend Harsha Rang for organizing the family gathering. Her carousel post showcased multiple images of their day spent feeding elephants and participating in their bathing routine.
“Thank you @harsharang for getting the family together, organizing a beautiful day at The Phuket Elephant Sanctuary,” Minissha wrote in her caption, sharing glimpses of the memorable outing. The photos show Minissha and her family members hosing down the gentle giants during shower time. In one lighthearted observation, she noted, “The Elephant’s Lunch and mine are pretty much the same these days,” referring to the plant-based diet they share.
Ethical Wildlife Tourism
Minissha made a point to highlight the ethical nature of the facility, explaining that The Phuket Elephant Sanctuary serves as a retirement home for rescued elephants. In her caption, she emphasized the proper approach to interacting with these majestic creatures.
“The Phuket Elephant Sanctuary is an ethical space for rescued/retired elephants. We are guests in their home. Who have the honor of feeding them, being in their majestic presence. When interacting, one’s voice must be soft and gentle of tone,” she wrote, promoting responsible wildlife tourism.
The images show the actress engaging with the elephants respectfully, following the sanctuary’s guidelines that prioritize the animals’ well-being over tourist entertainment.
Meeting The Sanctuary Residents
Minissha’s affectionately referred to one group as “Three cute girl elephants” and shared individual pictures of elephants named Chloe, Zoey, and Kiki – with a playful caption about Kiki being “promoted to Assistant Manager at work.” The post also included images of home-cooked food.
Fashion Note And Family Time
Always fashion-conscious, Minissha didn’t miss the opportunity to mention her wardrobe choice for the day, adding a personal touch to her post: “P.S: My New Fav Jeans which you’re gonna be seeing me wear more of… haha.”
The actress tagged several family members and friends in her post, including @meeta_grover8, @dimpy1972, @meela_makkar, @amelia1sharma2, and @thephilosoph, suggesting they were part of the family gathering at the sanctuary.
Pet Love And Recent Activities
Minissha is known to be a pet lover, particularly fond of her dogs. In a recent post from earlier this month, she shared moments with her dogs Zoey and Chloe, showing them getting groomed and enjoying beach time at Versova Beach. “Zoey getting her haircut. Then Nee-Nee.. Coz getting Shampooed, Having Your Coat Conditioned, Towel Dried, Blowdried, Cut, Trimmed and Shaped by SOMEONE else is soooooooooo Tiring,” she humorously captioned that post.
When not spending time with animals, Minissha has been busy with her theatrical pursuits. She’s been promoting her play “Mirror Mirror,” scheduled for performances in Mumbai and Gurgaon. The solo performance showcases her versatility as she portrays ten different characters in what’s been described as “a night where reality bends and identities blur.”
From Bollywood To Stage
Minissha Lamba rose to prominence in Bollywood with films like “Yahaan” (2005), “Bachna Ae Haseeno” (2008), and “Well Done Abba” (2009). After a successful film career, she has diversified into theater, reality television, and poker playing.
Her current theatrical venture, “Mirror Mirror,” is set to be performed at the Sophia Bhabha Auditorium in Mumbai on March 8, 2025, according to her recent promotional posts. The play is described as a high-intensity performance featuring “one woman, ten characters, and infinite twists.”
Minissha celebrated her birthday earlier this year with a series of celebratory posts, showcasing her cake and celebrations with the simple caption “HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!”
