Bollywood actress and sports entrepreneur Preeti Jhangiani has added another achievement to her illustrious career by receiving the prestigious Women on Top 2025 award for her pioneering work with Pro Panja League and the People’s Armwrestling Federation India (PAFI).

The ceremony, held at the Grand Hyatt Gurgaon, saw Jhangiani being honored alongside Padma Shri recipient Dr. Deepa Malik and several other accomplished women. The event, organized by Women on Top Magazine, celebrated female trailblazers who have made significant contributions in their respective fields.

In the Instagram post shared by Jhangiani, she expressed her gratitude, calling it “an amazing evening and a wonderful honour.” The image shows Jhangiani at the award ceremony, elegantly dressed and holding her award, surrounded by fellow honorees and guests at the event.

From Bollywood To Breaking Barriers In Arm Wrestling

Preeti Jhangiani, known to many for her acting career spanning over two decades, has successfully transitioned into the world of sports administration. According to information from Women on Top Magazine’s previous post about Jhangiani, she has been in the entertainment industry for over 25 years, starting her career as a model before moving into acting.

Her most significant achievement in recent years has been breaking into the male-dominated sport of arm wrestling. As the President of the People’s Armwrestling Federation India and the first Indian and first woman Vice President of the Asian Armwrestling Federation, Jhangiani has been instrumental in promoting the sport in India.

Pioneering The Pro Panja League

The Pro Panja League, co-founded by Jhangiani and her husband Parvin Dabas, is India’s first and only professional arm wrestling league. The league has already made significant strides, attracting 32 million unique viewers during its first season, which was broadcast on Sony Sports.

Recently, the Pro Panja League expanded its reach internationally with the Pro Panja UAE Cup held in Dubai. Social media posts show that both Jhangiani and Dabas were in Dubai to promote the event, which featured five matches including a headline India versus Pakistan contest. The event was sanctioned by Dubai Sports Council and held in association with the Emirates Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation.

Expanding Influence Beyond Sports

Beyond her work in arm wrestling, Jhangiani continues to maintain an active presence in entertainment and social events. Recent Instagram posts show her participating in various events including the Golden Animated Stars Awards 2025 as a special guest, and the Essence of Style event hosted by Jumble Carts.

Her multifaceted career reflects her ability to navigate different industries successfully. From her early days in Bollywood to becoming a pioneering figure in sports administration, Jhangiani has consistently demonstrated versatility and leadership.

Jhangiani began her career appearing in music videos and advertisements before making her Bollywood debut. While she gained recognition for her acting, her current focus on promoting arm wrestling represents a significant shift in her professional journey.

A Fashionable Sports Administrator

Despite her busy schedule managing the Pro Panja League and PAFI, Jhangiani still maintains her connection to fashion and style. In one of her recent posts about the Pro Panja UAE Cup, she mentioned wearing an outfit straight from the London Fashion Week collection, styled by Mouktika Style and Swarupa Bhagavatula, the same stylists she credited for her look at the Women on Top awards ceremony.

This blend of sports administration and fashion sense highlights her unique position straddling multiple industries and bringing her own perspective to typically male-dominated spaces.

The Women on Top 2025 award recognizes not just Jhangiani’s achievements but also her role in creating opportunities for others and expanding the visibility of arm wrestling in India. Through her leadership, she has helped transform arm wrestling from a niche activity into a professionally organized sport with growing popularity.

As Jhangiani continues to build on the success of the Pro Panja League and her work with PAFI, this award stands as recognition of her innovative approach to sports management and her commitment to breaking gender barriers in the world of sports.
