Bollywood actress and Punjab Kings co-owner Preity Zinta took to Instagram to celebrate her team’s recent victory in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The enthusiastic team owner shared her joy through a heartfelt post acknowledging the collective effort that led to their win.

In her Instagram post, she wrote, “Team work makes the dream work – and last night @punjabkingsipl proved it!” She specifically praised the bowling lineup including Yuzvendra Chahal, Arshdeep Singh, Marco Jansen, Harpreet Brar, and Xavier Bartlett for their fantastic performance.

Nehal Wadhera Receives Special Mention

Zinta’s post gave special recognition to young player Nehal Wadhera for “leading us to victory.” She also acknowledged Shreyas Iyer’s leadership, adding “great captaincy by @shreyasiyer96!” The post was completed with the team’s signature hashtags: #Ting #basjeetnahai #SaddaPunjab #saddasquad.

This victory appears to have been a significant one for the Punjab Kings, with the team demonstrating strong coordination across both bowling and batting departments. The post highlights how the bowlers set up the win while the batters successfully completed the chase.

Interestingly, just days before this victory post, Zinta had shared a heartfelt tribute to Yuzvendra Chahal, one of the bowlers she praised in her latest post. In that earlier post, she revealed their long history, writing, “I met Yuzi during the Kings Cup in 2008/09 in Chandigarh. I was new to cricket & he was a young under 19 cricketer.” Zinta explained how she had always wanted Chahal in her team, but “somehow the stars never aligned… until now!” She described their recent match as “a great example of why I was such a fan of Yuzi over the years & how, when the going gets tough, the tough get going.”

The Punjab Kings seem to be building momentum in the tournament. Another recent post on the team’s Instagram page featured the “Shers of the Match” segment where players shared “Wickets, wit & wonderful insights” following their performance.

The team has also been acknowledging their fans’ support. In another recent post, they thanked supporters who “showed up, stayed till the end, and stood by us,” stating, “Mullanpur came alive because of you. The real heroes of the night.”

Preity Zinta has been one of the most recognizable faces in Bollywood since her debut in the late 1990s. She has starred in numerous hit films including “Dil Se,” “Kya Kehna,” “Veer-Zaara,” and “Kal Ho Naa Ho.” Beyond acting, she ventured into cricket team ownership when the IPL was established in 2008.

As co-owner of Punjab Kings (previously Kings XI Punjab), Zinta has been one of the most visible and passionate team owners in the IPL. She is frequently seen at matches, actively cheering for her team from the stands. Another recent post from the Punjab Kings official account acknowledged her presence, stating, “Our energy in the stands, our strength off the field. Our co-owner, Preity G Zinta cheered for our Shers in the win over Chennai.”

Balancing Family And Cricket

While Zinta is fully immersed in the IPL season, she recently revealed she’s missing her family. In a post just days before the victory celebration, she wrote, “Home is where the heart is & right now, I’m definitely missing home! Counting the days before I see them.” Zinta is married to Gene Goodenough and the couple has two children.

The actress has been balancing her commitment to the team with her personal life, even sharing fitness routines during the busy IPL season. She recently posted a workout video with the caption, “For people that sit a lot, this is an amazing exercise to keep you back, glutes and legs strong.”

With this recent victory, Punjab Kings and their enthusiastic co-owner are likely hoping to maintain their winning momentum as the tournament progresses. Zinta’s passionate involvement with the team continues to be a highlight for fans who appreciate seeing an owner so invested in their team’s journey.
