Multifaceted artist Shruti Haasan is back in her element, returning to what she calls her “favourite place” – her “gorgeous concrete kitchen” – and treating fans to one of her signature recipe videos after a considerable break.

The actress-singer-musician took to Instagram to share a cooking video where she demonstrates a simple, healthy recipe. In the video, Shruti can be seen in her spacious concrete kitchen, cheerfully preparing what appears to be a nutritious dish while explaining the process.

“It’s been a while since I’ve been home in my gorgeous concrete kitchen which is my favourite place to chill,” Shruti wrote in her caption. She added that she enjoys creating these “silly recipe videos” because she loves “sharing food and love with the people I meet.”

According to the star, the dish she prepared is “super easy” and “super healthy and yummy.” She even offered a serving tip, noting that it’s “even yummier right out of the fridge,” before signing off with a playful “bon appetit!”

This isn’t the first time Shruti has showcased her passion for cooking. The actress occasionally shares her culinary adventures with her followers, revealing a side of herself that contrasts with her public persona as a performer. Her kitchen, with its distinctive concrete aesthetic, seems to be a personal sanctuary where she enjoys experimenting with food.

The timing of this homey post comes after what appears to be a busy period for Haasan, suggesting she’s enjoying some downtime at home after professional commitments.

Just prior to this cooking post, Shruti shared about returning to MMA training after what she described as a “massive break.” In that post, she mentioned that “basic cardio and weights did not do the trick” during her time away from more intensive training.

“I love fighting changes within and breaking my body back into shape. It’s honestly one of my favourite feelings in the world,” she wrote, demonstrating her commitment to fitness alongside her other passions.

The contrast between her intense workout regimen and her relaxed cooking sessions showcases the balanced lifestyle Shruti seems to cultivate.

Shruti’s social media has been bustling with activity recently. She shared an exciting post about participating in what appears to be a motorsport event with Red Bull, described as a “cool(ie) crossover” that fans “didn’t see coming.” The post suggests she was part of the Red Bull MotoJam event in Chennai.

On the professional front, Shruti is part of the psychological thriller film ‘The Eye,’ which recently premiered at the Wench Film Festival in Mumbai. The film, starring Shruti alongside Mark Rowley, Christos Stergioglou, and others, is noted for being led by a female creative and producing team. It’s also being promoted as the first sustainably produced film made in Greece. ‘The Eye’ is scheduled for a theatrical release in 2025.

Additionally, Shruti has been keeping busy with photoshoots, recently sharing images from a striking red-themed fashion shoot where she posed the question, “Does the devil wear red? Or do we just remove the L ❤️🔥”

Daughter of legendary actors Kamal Haasan and Sarika, Shruti has carved her own niche in the entertainment industry. Beyond acting in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi films, she is also an accomplished singer and musician who has performed live concerts with her band.

Her diverse interests – from martial arts to cooking, music to acting – reflect the multifaceted nature of her career and personal life. This latest cooking video gives fans a glimpse into her domestic life and showcases yet another dimension of her personality.

As Shruti continues to balance her various professional commitments with personal passions like cooking and fitness, fans can look forward to more glimpses into the different aspects of her life through her engaging social media presence.
