Indian stand-up comedian Atul Khatri has announced an international performance of his brand-new comedy special, “Well-Trained,” set to take place in Singapore on May 24, 2025. The show will be held at the Singtel Waterfront Theatre, with tickets now available for booking.
@kaleidoscopequest shared an Instagram announcement and wrote: “Get ready, Singapore! Laughter is landing at the Singtel Waterfront Theatre as the hilarious Atul Khatri brings his brand-new stand-up special — “Well-Trained” — to town!” The post confirms the show will begin at 8:00 PM at the Singtel Waterfront Theatre.
From CEO To Comedy Star
For those unfamiliar with Khatri, the 57-year-old comedian has an interesting journey. Before entering comedy, he worked as the CEO of a computer business. His late entry into comedy at age 43 has become part of his distinctive personal brand, often referring to himself as “India’s oldest stand-up comedian.”
Khatri has gained significant recognition in the Indian comedy scene, winning the CEOs Got Talent competition in 2014 and being named one of the top Indian comedians by CNN-IBN. He has also featured in an Amazon Prime Video special and appeared on various television shows.
‘Well-Trained’ World Tour
The Singapore show is part of a larger international tour for the “Well-Trained” special, which Khatri began performing earlier this year. In recent Instagram posts, he has documented performances of this new material across India, with upcoming shows in multiple cities.
In a March post, Khatri shared: “After the release of his standup special ‘Daddy Kool’ last year, Atul Khatri is back with a new hour.” The post explained that “Indian comedy’s resident cool dad is touring the country with his brand new special ‘Well Trained'” with performances scheduled in numerous cities including Mumbai, Gurugram, Bengaluru, Mysuru, Pune, and internationally in Dubai and Jakarta.
The comedian performed the first show of this new hour on March 2 at Mumbai’s Royal Opera Hall, according to his social media posts, and has been refining the material at comedy clubs since then.
Fan Reactions And Performance Style
Khatri’s style has garnered him a loyal following, with his recent posts showing enthusiastic audience responses. After a performance at the Pune Comedy Fest, he posted: “Thank you Punekars and the @punecomedyfest for making a 57 year old uncle feel like a Rockstar.”
In another post promoting the tour, Khatri humorously advised: “Please don’t come with weak sentiments when you come for a comedy show. Make your sentiments strong and come and watch my new show “Well-Trained”.”
For those interested in attending, Khatri’s post mentions that exclusive discounts are available, with limited seating for the event. Fans are encouraged to direct message for booking details.
With the show still a month away, comedy enthusiasts in Singapore have plenty of time to secure their tickets for what promises to be an evening of sharp observations and hearty laughs from one of India’s most established comedians.
