Former actress and television host Deepti Bhatnagar has kicked off her Italian adventure with a visit to one of Milan’s most iconic landmarks – the magnificent Duomo di Milano. The travel enthusiast shared glimpses of her journey on Instagram, showcasing her special connection with the European country.

In her latest Instagram reel, Bhatnagar is seen walking around and showing the Duomo di Milano, with its intricate white marble façade serving as the perfect backdrop. The footage captures her admiring the architectural marvel that took nearly six centuries to complete.

“My bond with Italy is so special I just keep coming back. And as they say, all roads in Milan lead to the Duomo. So here I am, starting my Italian trip with the magnificent Duomo di Milano,” she captioned her post.

The Travel Enthusiast’s Love For Exploration

Deepti Bhatnagar has established herself as a passionate traveler over the years, documenting her journeys across the globe. Her Instagram profile has become a visual travelogue featuring destinations from snow-covered Estonia to the tropical beaches of Sri Lanka.

Just before her Italian sojourn, Bhatnagar was exploring the natural beauty of Meghalaya in India, where she visited the famous root bridges and Dawki River. Her travel portfolio also includes recent visits to Sri Lanka, where she spent time at Anantara Tangalle Resort. During this trip, she immersed herself in local culinary traditions at “Mama’s Kitchen,” learning to cook healthy Sri Lankan dishes in traditional earthen pots without oil.

From Showbiz To World Explorer

Deepti Bhatnagar began her career in the entertainment industry after winning the Miss India Worldwide competition in 1990. She went on to become a prominent face in Indian television and films during the 1990s and early 2000s, appearing in popular movies across multiple languages including Hindi, Telugu, and Kannada.

The Majestic Duomo Di Milano

Bhatnagar’s choice to begin her Italian journey at the Duomo is fitting, given the cathedral’s significance. The Duomo di Milano is the largest church in Italy (the Vatican’s St. Peter’s Basilica is technically in Vatican City) and took nearly 600 years to complete. Its construction began in 1386 and was not officially completed until 1965.

The Gothic cathedral is known for its forest of spires, 135 in total, and over 3,400 statues that adorn its exterior. The rooftop offers panoramic views of Milan and, on clear days, even the Alps in the distance.

Bhatnagar’s ongoing travels demonstrate her commitment to experiencing diverse cultures and landscapes around the world. From embracing winter wonderlands in Finland’s Lapland to celebrating Holi in snow-covered Kashmir, her adventures continue to inspire wanderlust among her followers.

As her Italian adventure unfolds, travel enthusiasts will be watching closely to see which iconic destinations she visits next in a country renowned for its rich history, artistic heritage, and culinary excellence.
