Veteran filmmaker Rakesh Roshan has marked a significant milestone in his personal life, celebrating 54 years of marriage. The 74-year-old director and producer took to Instagram to share his joy with fans and well-wishers with a heartwarming image of himself with his wife, Pinkie Roshan, showing the couple smiling at the camera. Accompanying the image, Roshan wrote: “Together is a beautiful place to be. Happy 54th anniversary ❤️”
Rakesh Roshan began his career as an assistant director before transitioning to acting in the 1970s. However, it was as a director and producer that he truly made his mark, creating blockbusters like the Krrish franchise and Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai. His marriage to Pinkie has been one of Bollywood’s longest-lasting relationships. The couple has two children: Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan and daughter Sunaina.
While celebrating his personal milestone, Rakesh Roshan has also been enjoying professional recognition. He was featured on the cover of Society Achievers magazine, an honor he acknowledged in a post last month. The Roshan family has also been receiving acclaim for their documentary series, recently awarded ‘Best Documentary Series’ at the OTT Play Awards 2025.
In an exciting development, Rakesh Roshan recently announced that his son Hrithik will be stepping into the director’s chair for the much-anticipated Krrish 4. In an Instagram post, he wrote, “Duggu 25yrs back I launched you as an actor, and today again after 25 years you are being launched as a director by two filmmakers Aditya Chopra & myself to take forward our most ambitious film #Krrish4. Wish you all the success in this new avatar with good wishes and blessings! ♥️”
