Pen India Limited has announced the return of a beloved Bollywood track with the teaser release of ‘Chor Bazari Phir Se’ from the upcoming film ‘Bhool Chuk Maaf.’ The nostalgic revival was announced through an Instagram post that has already started generating buzz among music lovers.
The teaser video shows a glimpse of what appears to be a recreated version of the iconic song ‘Chor Bazari’ that originally featured in the 2009 film ‘Love Aaj Kal.’ The Instagram post caption evokes nostalgia with the words: “Get ready to rewind and feel the nostalgia – kyunki kal ghatne wali hai ek ghatna, jo chura legi aapka dil!”
The original ‘Chor Bazari’ was a chartbuster that became one of the most memorable tracks of its time, featuring Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone. The song is still remembered for its catchy tune and lively choreography, making it a perfect candidate for a modern remake. The teaser confirms that the track will feature in the upcoming film ‘Bhool Chuk Maaf,’ which is slated for theatrical release on May 9th.
The film stars Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi in lead roles as Ranjan and Titli, with direction by Karan Sharma. The production is backed by prominent names in the industry, including Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films in association with Amazon MGM Studios, Sony Music India, Prime Video, Pen Marudhar, and YRF.
The musical talent behind the remake includes singers Neeraj Shridhar and Sunidhi Chauhan, who were also the voices behind the original track. The music is composed by Tanishk Bagchi, with original composition by Pritam. The lyrics are penned by Irshad Kamil, maintaining the creative connection with the original song.
This song release follows closely on the heels of another track from the film titled ‘Koi Naa,’ which was released recently. The romantic song features vocals by Harnoor and Shreya Ghoshal, composed by Tanishk Bagchi with lyrics by Gifty. Pen India Limited, which is involved in the project, has been actively promoting its upcoming releases on its social media handles.
The recreation of ‘Chor Bazari’ follows the trend of remaking classic Bollywood songs for new films, a practice that has seen mixed reactions from audiences. However, with the original musical team involved and the popularity of the original track, expectations are high for this remake.
With the combination of Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi’s on-screen chemistry and the nostalgic appeal of ‘Chor Bazari,’ ‘Bhool Chuk Maaf’ is building momentum ahead of its theatrical release.
