The countdown has begun for what promises to be a supernatural romance with a comedic twist. Zee Studios has announced that their upcoming film ‘The Bhootnii’ will release in theaters on May 1, 2025.
The studio shared a captivating poster on Instagram with the caption, “Mohabbat mein chaand-taare, sab dikhenge… in just 5 days!” (In love, you’ll see the moon and stars… in just 5 days!), hinting at a love story with celestial and supernatural elements.
The film boasts an impressive ensemble cast led by Bollywood veteran Sanjay Dutt and television star-turned-film actress Mouni Roy in lead roles. Supporting them are Sunny Singh, Palak Tiwari, Aasif Khan, and digital content creator BeYouNick, promising a diverse mix of experienced and fresh talent.
The film’s promotional poster features a dark, haunting image that combines elements of romance and horror, perfectly capturing the film’s apparent theme of love with a supernatural twist.
Ahead of the film’s release, the makers have already launched ‘The Bhootnii Album’ featuring tracks that, according to their promotional material, “will raise the dead-cibels.” One of the recently released songs titled ‘Tararara’ has been promoted with the tagline “Scary good beats. ‘The Bhootnii’ is produced by Deepak Mukut along with Maanayata Dutt (Sanjay Dutt’s wife), Hunar Mukut, and Soham Mukut. The film is a joint production between Soham Rockstrent and Three Dimension Motion Pictures, with Zee Music Company handling the music rights. The production team includes several key figures like Umesh Kr Bansal, Rainanjali, Girish Johar, and Pragati Deshmukh, who have been tagged in the promotional posts, indicating their significant roles in bringing this project to life.
