Popular playback singer Anuradha Sriram has announced the release of six devotional songs to commemorate the auspicious Chithirai festival in Madurai, celebrating the divine union of Goddess Meenakshi and Lord Sundaresar.

The announcement came through her official Instagram account, where she shared details about this special musical offering dedicated to one of Tamil Nadu’s most significant religious celebrations.

“In this auspicious month of #Chithirai, we celebrate the union of #Meenakshi and #Sundaresar and the grandeur of #AlagharTiruvizha in Madurai, with six soulful devotional songs,” wrote Anuradha in her Instagram post. The singer added that she is “offering these devotional songs at the lotus feet of Madurai Meenakshi, seeking her blessings and grace.”

The image accompanying her post appears to be a promotional graphic for her devotional album, featuring imagery related to the Chithirai festival celebrations.

The six songs mentioned in her post include “Chithirai Penne,” “Angayarkanni Meenakshi,” “Va Va Va Kallazhaga,” “Kalyanamam Kalyanam,” “Kallazhaga Kallazhaga,” and “Vanna Vanna Kaavadi.” These compositions are focused on the divine themes of the festival, particularly celebrating Goddess Meenakshi and the events of the Chithirai festival.

This announcement follows several teaser posts Anuradha had shared earlier about her upcoming devotional album. In a previous post, she had revealed that her new album titled “Madurai Arasalum Meenakshi” would be releasing soon to celebrate the Chithirai festival.
